♥ ♥ I can not express enough now much I love what I do. ♥ ♥

Yesterday I met up with the most amazing family for brother and sister high school senior sessions. We headed down to the Marin Headland bunkers and had an incredible time. The setting was perfect setting and I had complete artistic freedom. This session rocked!!! I came home so excited that I just had to get a few photos up for a preview before going to bed. I am so looking forward to meeting with the family tomorrow for their session preview.

Here are a couple of my favs from our session.

Finally I am catching up on the last few sessions of 2009. Mid Dec I met up with my friend Z just a couple weeks before she gave birth to her two precious baby girls. She was up for just about anything so we got a chance to explore several new places in Santa Rosa which makes for a bit of a preview blog overload. Luckily it wasn’t raining and the lighting was fantastic :) I think I might start loving overcast skies.

I just gotta start with my absolute favorite. How cute is she? I couldn’t help but to notice and make use of the little sign next to the tracks.

For our session we started next to one of the mural fences here in Santa Rosa. I have been wanting to come down and use these for sometime now and I was so please that her choice of clothing for her session seemed to match so perfectly.

I love these. For the next set we made our way down to a private vacant lot near by. I had no idea this wooded area was here and luckily we were able to take advantage of the natural beauty before the “No Trespassing” signs were posted. It was such a perfect location for her too.

Now keep in mind this session was back in mid Dec in between our many bouts of rain. Z was a trooper though and was even willing to bare it all in the cold for her photos.

At the end of our session the babies decided to finally wake up. It was so cute to watch Z play with the babies as the wiggled around.

Z thanks for the fun afternoon and exploring with me.

I absolutely love working with this little girl. I can take her to any location and be guaranteed amazing photos. With no effort at all she can make something so simple into a wonderful yet dramatic photo. Oh how I wish photographing my own girls was this easy.

For our most recent session we headed over to an old favorite with a new twist. I have photographed several sessions over in Rail Road Square in Santa Rosa but this time I am loving the set I got with Trianna.

My first session while down in Los Angeles was with Emily. She not only is she BLP Fabulous Faces Contest winner but she is also the daughter of a long time friend of mine. We go way back :)

For our session we headed on down to Laguna Beach in Orange County. I can remember going down to Laguna Beach back when I was a young child all through to just a few years ago. Its one of the most beautiful beaches in Orange County and I have many fond memories there. I didn’t realize how much I have never seen until my visit there just a couple weeks ago. This place has so much history and is a photographer’s dream.

Despite the horrible heat I had a great time. It was over 90 degrees just a few feet from the ocean which is a huge contrast to the much cooler weather we get up here. Still I am so glad we decided to head down there for our session.

Little Emily was so much fun to hang out with. I have been itching to meet here since before she was born so it was so nice to get a chance this time around and also hang out with her momma who I have not seen since High School. Funny how the internet can keep friends in touch after so many years.

Momma I hope you enjoy your little preview. It was a real joy to hang out with you and your precious girl. We will definitely have to do this again the next time I am in town.

This was the coolest door. All hand carved wood and it had so much detail.

Sometimes I think I have the coolest friends. I think my friend Tammy deserves a frequent shoppers card because she keeps coming back again and again. I love it.

This weekend she is celebrating her 5th wedding anniversary and asked me to take some anniversary photos of her with her hubby. They have not had professional photos taken together that they liked since their wedding so I am honored that she asked me to take some for her.

We went to a totally new location that Tammy picked which I am sure will be a favorite. I love all the architectural details and colors.

It didn’t take long before we were totally goofing around.

Can you see them? They are there.

It was so cute watching these two try and copy the pose in the statue. I wish I had my video camera.

My favorite.

Thanks so much for a great time. You both totally made my day. Congratulations on your 5th anniversary!

Its getting cold…

December 13, 2008

I’m a little behind in my blog posts since I have been working on filling holiday orders. The past couple of days the temperatures have really dropped here in NorCal Sonoma County and soon there will be rain. Yay I can’t wait. A couple days ago I managed to get out in 40 degree weather for a quick session.

What does a girl do when she changes her hair color? She hires her friend to take some new head shots. This is my friend Tammy who somehow managed to convince me that getting out in the morning for a session was a good idea. I’m from SoCal and I will be the first to admit I freeze easily. LOL Nevertheless we had a lot of fun and I love the shots I got. This is my fav.

I will have to post a photo of her little princess later.
