Beautiful Sisters: Part 1 | Becka Lynn Photography

Last week I met up with two adorable little sisters for their first session together. We ended up having to break up their session into two different days which turned out to be incredible and well worth it.

Our first session was at my favorite spots in downtown Petaluma. On our first day little miss M did so great and was ready for the camera. Her little sister on the other hand decided she would rather play for follow grandma around everywhere. I had so much fun with these two precious little cuties.

Here are a few favorites from our first session together.

After an hour both little girls had enough and were done for the day so mom and I decided it would be best to get together in a couple days for another session. That is coming up next and wow what a great location!

Cathy & Bobby’s Engagment

Its been a crazy couple of months but at last I am able to share Cathy & Bobby’s engagement session. I posted a sneak peek back in March with the fav from the day and I have been itching to share the rest.

I am very lucky to have such an amazing couple who were willing to go anywhere for their session. It had been raining for weeks on end so finding a time to schedule a time to get together kept on getting postponed. As I left Santa Rosa the clouds were looking very gloomy and didn’t know what to expect in Petaluma. Despite the clouds the sun came out to play as we wondering through downtown Petaluma and by the time we made our way to the riverfront the gloomy clouds were back but by this time I was loving them.

Sneak Peek: Cathy & Bobby | Sonoma County Engagement Photographer

Today I had a great time with Cathy and Bobby for their engagement session down in Petaluma. When we left Santa Rosa the skies where looking pretty gloomy but I have to say that by the end of our session I am really loving them. After downloading the photos I just couldn’t resist the urge to share one photo for Cathy and Bobby. I thought it was cute when Bobby saw this photo in particular his first reply was “Sweet!” I am really looking forward to their wedding in Aug.

Thanks again for a fun afternoon!!! I can’t wait to show more.

Sally {Class of 2010} | Santa Rosa Senior Photographer

Sally Sally Sally….I had so much fun getting to know her this last Dec. From the first email to the day we met she has been nothing but a super fun person to get to know. I love her energy and excitement for life. It sorta makes me miss being a senior in high school again.

We got together early Dec. for our first session down in Petaluma, one of my favorite places to be. A few weeks later we met up again after a session with her best friend Eva (will post those later) and then finally one more time for a quick session to get that perfect shot to include in the year book. I have been trying to check up on all past sessions so I am really happy to finally share these with you all.

Petaluma Car & Air Show

Right before heading out of town I met up with a friend of mine to check out the Petaluma Car & Air Show. It seems Sonoma County is always having some kind of cool event going on so it was neat to be able to get out with the girls and see what its all about. Unfortunately it was blazing hot out but we still had a great time. Here are just a few favorite photos from the day.

Along with all the classic cars and planes there were also local public service representatives like the police, fire department and transit showing the kids all their cool vehicles.

The kids checked out the Petaluma Police Car first which was actually pretty neat. I never knew what the back seat of a police car looked like until then.

Even the SWAT vehicles were there too. How cool is this?

There was so much to see, much more than I expected.

Rusty Old Train + Cool Family = Awesome Urban Session

A few days ago I had the pleasure to meet with tattoo artist  Scott from Santa Rosa Tattoo and his family for one awesome Urban Session in Petaluma.  There couldn’t have been a better family for one of my favorite locations. I have been trying so hard to go through all the photos but its so hard to choose just a few for a preview so be prepared for a picture overload.

For our session we headed down to one rusty old funky train that was covered in graffiti and full of character. Scott’s two older boys were climbing all over these trains like it was nothing.

I had an incredible time hanging out with you all so thanks again for coming down and checking out this cool hide away.

Urban Family Session

I think this is going to quickly become one of my new favorite locations ever. Last Sunday I a trip down to Petaluma for my session with a friend of mine who is returning for her 3rd session this year. It has been so hard for me to wait to post these since as life would have it we needed to make a last minute trip out of town. I am so please with how these came out and I sure hope my friend loves them as much as I do.

I am ready to get started to build my urban galleries so if you or anyone you know are interested please contact me soon for limited number of special sessions.
