Finally I am getting a chance to catch up a little on my blog posts. With all the craziness that comes with going on a long vacation I just now taking a break to share Clare’s gorgeous photos. We got together just weeks before her precious baby girl was born. Doesn’t she look beautiful?

Her hubby came down to get in a few photos too. They are such a good looking couple.

More photos are posted on the Facebook fan page ;)

Aw I have been looking forward to posting this recent maternity session but due to the craziness around here the blog post has been a bit delayed. We got together just before the holidays for a special in home session. Today as this little one is officially due so I anxiously await word that she has arrived. I love my job!!!

This shot by far is my favorite. Big sister is so excited about baby coming and it didn’t take much convincing to get her to give baby loves.

I remember when I finished this session I thought to myself, “I wonder if I got anything wow worthy” I am my own worst critic which sometimes means I have been know to leave a session wondering if I captured what I set out to do. I will be honest and say that I was pleasantly surprised when I finally got a chance to look through the session photos and found myself in love with so many.

I love this time of year and all the lovely colors of Sonoma County. The leaves are changing everywhere and the country side just absolutely gorgeous. My favorite is when the vines turn burgundy and I was fortunate to capture them this year in a few of my sessions this season.

Back in June a friend of mine surprised me with the news she was expecting. Recently I got a chance to see her and her perfect adorable belly. It wont be long before this little guy is born.

Momma is glowing and she has the cutest belly bump.

Recently I met with this beautiful momma for a mini maternity session so we could get a photo for her baby shower invitations. The end result is in my opinion absolutely gorgeous (and the invitations is pretty too)

Last week I had a second maternity session with the beautiful Kathy who just gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday. We were rushing to fit in one more session before her baby girl was scheduled to arrive and luckily we made it hapeen just in time.

Once again I had a wonderful time hanging out with Kathy. I think I am truely blessed to meet such amazing people doing something I absolutely love. Kathy had a special request to find someplace that had a field of grass which I was lucky enough to find someplace local.

Feeling a little adventurous, just 3 days before her baby was born Kathy climbed a tree. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen.

Thanks for the adventure and a wonderful afternoon. I hope you are resting well and I am looking forward to meeting that precious baby girl here soon.

Last night a very dear friend of mine told me that she is blessed with a little bundle on joy who is on its way. Today was super busy but I did manage to sneak away to take this pic for her. We have plans to take one every month which is so exciting. I have always wanted to so something like that and now I have a willing participant.

I stood up late last night (hum maybe technically early this morning since it was 5am) working on this recent maternity session. Last week I met with K to talk about her session and we decided to head on over to Sonoma Horticulteral Nursery this last Friday. It was a beautiful day and I just love the photos from that day. I have been to nursery 3 times now and I still can’t get over how much the temperature changes in there.  Its quite lovely.

We started in the Yellow Garden near the gazebo and got this beautiful image which to me feels like I was peeking in through the garden to get this tender moment.

For the most part this baby girl slept through our session but woke up for a tiny bit when K was sitting out in the sun.

I love this wheel bench. We got quite the giggle taking this photo. I should have taken a shot of what was happening behind the scenes.

And my favorite photo taken just before we left.

I had a great time with the first time mommy and am looking forward to having our second session soon :)

I know its beautiful living in Sonoma but getting out and enjoying it makes it that much better. After weeks of rain the sun and blue sky came out just in time for a wonderful maternity session at Ferrari Carano winery in Healdsburg, Ca

I think is still my favorite color to photograph for maternity sessions. I am not sure why exactly but i love it. Momma is due in just a few more weeks.

Would you believe this was not planed? Seriously those daffodils just knew what i wanted all by them self. I just love how they line up perfectly to this beautiful baby bump.

Today’s weather totally was not pretty. I was hoping for sunny skies but instead I was giving lots of clouds and just a glimpse of sun here and there. Still I worked with what I was given and am pleased with some of the absolutely beautiful shots I got of Stephanie. She is due in less then a week and is positively glowing. This is one person I knew I wanted to photograph the day she announced she was expecting and today my little wish came true.

This is one of the first shots I got and the sun just happened to show itself. I just love how peaceful she looks here.

I jokingly said this could be in an magazine ad or something but honestly I really do think that :)

While their daughter Sequoia ran around a bit I got a photo of just mom and dad.

And this is my absolute favorite. This is the photo I envisioned in my head so many months ago and its so wonderful to see it on my screen.

Stephanie, thank you and your family so much for allowing me to photograph these timeless memories.
