Another photo from my trip to Petaluma on Sunday. Not sure if this will be the shot that makes it to the xmas card but still I like it. It shows each one of their personalities well.

I think this is going to quickly become one of my new favorite locations ever. Last Sunday I a trip down to Petaluma for my session with a friend of mine who is returning for her 3rd session this year. It has been so hard for me to wait to post these since as life would have it we needed to make a last minute trip out of town. I am so please with how these came out and I sure hope my friend loves them as much as I do.

I am ready to get started to build my urban galleries so if you or anyone you know are interested please contact me soon for limited number of special sessions.
Back ’95 a friend of mine introduced me to one of his favorite bands at the time named Human Drama. The very first song I ever heard was Called Tangled Web and I was in love. From that day on I followed Human Drama, dragging my now husband with me to every concert we could get to within 2 hours of where we lived for 2 years. He was a sport and went with me though I knew after a while he was so over it.
Human Drama has since moved on but to this day I still follow the work of the band’s soul and front man Johnny Indovina. He is now front man of Sound of the Blue Heart and one of the nicest guys I have ever met.
The music on my photography site now is that of johnny Indovina, used with his permission. When I heard he was going to be in town a few weeks ago performing with John Trudell I knew I had to see him and asked if we could meet up for a session. Johnny was so kind to make time for me and we got together after his performance in Mill Valley. Needless to say I was extremely excited.
Because time was limited our session was outside in the dark lite only by the street lamps. Still it was fun and I wanted to share some of my favorite shots from that night.
Thank you again Johnny for making time to meet with me. You are the best. ((HUGS))

If you recall, back in August I took a trip to the Marin Headlands with these three beautiful sisters. I spent this rainy afternoon putting the finishing touches on the photo they chose as a gift for their parents. I can’t find the words to express how much I love this photo. I think Maggie said it best by saying that this photo shows their true personalities and what they are like together. Our whole afternoon was spent laughing and it shows.
These sisters are now in various parts of the US so I know their parents are going to love receiving this portrait as a gift this holiday season.

With my mom visiting all last week I didn’t much computer time, not that its a bad thing though because it was absolutely awesome to have a chance to spend some time with my mom, but now I find myself trying to catch up on what I missed last week. I have a few special photos I wanted to share though.
On our way home from San Francisco after spending the morning on Alcatraz we decided to make a stop at Fort Point which sits right below the South San Francisco Side of the Golden Gate Bridge. Of course I had to shoot a couple pics of my gorgeous girls.

My girls ~ You can really see each one of their personalities. I love it how different they are from each other.

The next day we headed back to SF to meet with my brother for a late lunch/early dinner at Bubba Gump before he caught his flight home.
As we waited for our food my brother braided K’s hair and then braided his own so they could match
On our drive down K made her uncle a special card. These pics were taken just after he read it.

Can you tell how much these two love each other? They really do have a special bond.
At the end of the week we took a trip to St. Helena to visit Grandpa and have some ice cream at the Big Dipper.

And I saved the best for last…. He looks adorable with his ice cream cone.

This is beautiful young lady is Emily, founder of Project H Design. I met this incredibly talented and inspiring woman last month along with her 2 other beautiful sisters when we had a session down at the Marin Headlands. I just finished these two head shots for her and just had to share.

Its seems like forever ago since I was a senior in High School but then again maybe it was. Back then Senior photos were all taken in a span of two weeks at the same studio and all photos in the year book looked exactly the same. Times have changed and now senior portraits take on a completely new look.
This is Margaret and Senior at Santa Rosa High. I wish my senior portraits looked like this when I was in high school.

Today I spent the afternoon laughing and giggling with these 3 beautiful sisters. They were a hoot and a half. For their session we took a trip out to the Marin Headlands and visited one of my favorite places: Battery Mandle.
I still have a bunch of photos to go through from our day out today but I wanted to share one of my favorites.

Yay I’m home
Vacation is never long enough but its always great to be home. I have so many photos to edit from my trip to Los Angeles so I will post some as I get them done. All together I had 2 mini sessions and 2 full sessions plus all the family photos so I expect to be pretty busy the next couple of weeks.
So to start the fun I am posting a photo of Shelsea. My friend Seasyn made this little dress and managed to get it to me the night before we left town. I absolutely love it!!! As you can see Shelsea loves it too and just looks too cute IMHO.

Now that I think about it, you can’t really tell but those are skulls and crossbones on the dress. Its definitely not something you can buy in the store so its nice having a friend who can make these cute little creations.
Two of my uncles had Harley’s when I was growing up and I always wanted one but never got to ride one so you can imagine how excited I was when I got a special request for a Father’s Day session with a Harley. We headed out to the Rail Road District in Santa Rosa, Ca and took these behind one of the many awesome buildings by the old tracks.
I am loving this photo and I think it captures exactly what I set out to do.
