I have been so anxious to share these but have held off for a couple weeks until I was able to share a link back to the fabulous Miss Things Boutique. Its been raining like crazy this winter season so we have had a hard time planning a session to get out and photograph these adorable pettiskirt dresses but we managed to get a tiny break a few weeks ago. These are part of the new Punk Line over at Miss Things Boutique. Seriously how cute are these?!?!

Finally got a chance to have a senior portrait session over at Railroad Square in Santa Rosa. I love the urban funkiness of that area with all the brick and stone work of the old buildings. So much character and I’m always finding neat little areas every time I go down there. I had a wonderful afternoon with Shona and her mom as we hopped around RRSq. These cloudy/rainy days can be somewhat unpredictable this time of year but we got lucky despite being a tab bit cold.

Its been a crazy busy holiday season. Now that I have a little down time I can finally catch up on all the wonderful sessions I have had these last few months. I had a chance to visit one of my favorite locations down in Petaluma with the N family which was perfect for this family

I absolutely love working with this little girl. I can take her to any location and be guaranteed amazing photos. With no effort at all she can make something so simple into a wonderful yet dramatic photo. Oh how I wish photographing my own girls was this easy.

For our most recent session we headed over to an old favorite with a new twist. I have photographed several sessions over in Rail Road Square in Santa Rosa but this time I am loving the set I got with Trianna.

Recently (or not so recently, maybe a few months ago) I found out about the Santa Rosa bunkers from a flickr friend of mine. I have always wanted to go there for a photo session but was saving it for the right client that fit the location. When my friend asked me to take some boudoir photos of her I couldn’t resisted the opportunity for an adventure which turned out to be a dream come true. Not only was the location perfect but the results are absolutely stunning.

Its not often I get a session where I have complete artistic freedom and then get to show off the results of my work. I am truly blessed that I have an amazing friend who let not only let me take some amazing boudoir photos of her but also let me share a few of them publicly.

This one took my breath away. Its very sexy without showing too much. I tell ya I have the best clients.

I have to give huge Kudos to two awesome ladies who came down to help. Laura for her amazing makeup. I have been a fan of her artistic talenent for way over a year now. And my friend Sarah who did a fabulous job on hair. You can betcha that I will be calling on these ladies again for my next boudoir session. Thanks again!!!

Every year I have the pleasure of getting together with this little tribe for their family photos. Just a year ago the family grew by one more to make a family of 7. So much has happened in the last year with Baby G turning 1, her sister starting kindergarten (happens to be in the same class as my little girl) and the big kids doing great in their new school. I can’t believe its been 4 years already since I first met this family and I am so proud to call them my friends.

For this year’s family photo we decided to go/try something new and head over to Railroad Square in Santa Rosa, Ca. Each time I head over there I find something new to love.

Gotta love the expressions on these adorable kiddos. Definitely shows their personalities. I find it funny how each one of them have dirtied their jeans the same way.

Just the kids:

Took this one a while back but never blogged it. Baby G was loving this bucket and then some. She is so cute.

Young love. This little guy was loving on my youngest. They are just too cute. I wonder what they are going to say when they look at this photo as adults.

I just can’t wait and had to share a couple photos from my two sessions today. This morning I took a trip down to Petaluma for a “first birthday” and a “Back to School” session. I know the parents for these two beautiful girls are anxious to see what we got today so I hope this tiny preview will hold you over.

Married 9 years and still so in love. It seems I have known these two forever and I am proud to call them friends. Guillermo and I go way way back to the old days at Rio Hondo when we both were starting out in Architecture about 14 years. Wow now I feel old, I was just a puppy back then. We both went on to Woodbury University at the same time and at one point this guy was crazy enough to teach me how to drive. I don’t know who was more nuts, me or him. LOL Then somewhere about 9 years ago I saw these two tie the knot and its a day I will never forget.

While on my visit to Los Angeles this summer I met up with Guillermo and his beautiful wife Monica for a session in Historic Los Angeles, California at Olvera Street and Union Station.

Olvera Street is one of my favorite places to visit and I make it a point to go there at least once a year for the awesome Carnitas. Yum!!! This is the birth place of Los Angeles so if you have never been there I would definitely go.

There is an awesome ally way at one end of the street where you will find a couple of multi-story buildings made of brink with  old world charm.

I have been here many many times with friends and family but this was the first time I really had a chance to explore. We found these steps behind one of the old buildings and was surprised they were not closed off to the public.

Up at top there was a romantic balcony that overlooks the 101 freeway. Hehe Now that is an interesting view.

How cool are these lights?

After our walk around Olvera Street we headed on over to Union Station.

My favorite!!!!

I had a great time hanging out with some good friends. It was great seeing you Guillermo and Monica. We really have to get together again the next time we visiting SoCal.

My first session while down in Los Angeles was with Emily. She not only is she BLP Fabulous Faces Contest winner but she is also the daughter of a long time friend of mine. We go way back :)

For our session we headed on down to Laguna Beach in Orange County. I can remember going down to Laguna Beach back when I was a young child all through to just a few years ago. Its one of the most beautiful beaches in Orange County and I have many fond memories there. I didn’t realize how much I have never seen until my visit there just a couple weeks ago. This place has so much history and is a photographer’s dream.

Despite the horrible heat I had a great time. It was over 90 degrees just a few feet from the ocean which is a huge contrast to the much cooler weather we get up here. Still I am so glad we decided to head down there for our session.

Little Emily was so much fun to hang out with. I have been itching to meet here since before she was born so it was so nice to get a chance this time around and also hang out with her momma who I have not seen since High School. Funny how the internet can keep friends in touch after so many years.

Momma I hope you enjoy your little preview. It was a real joy to hang out with you and your precious girl. We will definitely have to do this again the next time I am in town.

This was the coolest door. All hand carved wood and it had so much detail.

Another preview from my recent set of mini sessions around historic Petaluma. This gorgeous little girl happens to be friends with the two adorable brothers I posted yesterday. She was such a doll and lovely to photograph. So many of her expressions and poses were just things that came naturally without any direction from me.

I fell in love with this last photo the moment I saw it after I took it.  Thank you so much for coming down and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you.
