I am so proud to announce that Becka Lynn Photography has joined Think Pink Photography Network.

CELEBRATING LIFE
ABOUT
Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. We are a charitable organization that serves two main purposes – celebrating life and supporting the cause.

Think Pink Session
Through our photographer network, we are helping breast cancer survivors and their supporters to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions.

Any individual that has been diagnosed with breast cancer or completed treatment within the past 12 months qualifies for a Think Pink Session. Sessions are available to document the fight before or during treatment or to celebrate the victory when treatment is completed.

Clients will receive a complimentary session, (20) small prints, and a discount off additional print orders.

Supporting the Cause
The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation
All funds generated through donations and various fundraising efforts are paid directly to The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. As a 3-time breast cancer survivor, Danielle Beverly and her husband Eric joined together to form a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and resources for families who have been touched by breast cancer.

The Foundation focuses on providing financial support for the chemotherapy and mammography needs of uninsured or underinsured individuals; establishing social and psychological support programs for individuals facing breast cancer, their caregivers and children; and fostering opportunities for individuals to educate themselves and others about the life and death importance of early detection.

For every Think Pink Session, BLP will donate $10 to the Eric R Beverly Family Foundation as well as 10% of all sales made from that session.

This past Sunday I was asked to join The Littlest Heros Project as a team photographer. I have come across this site once before and knew then want an amazing organization this is and i am honored to become part of the team.

I have already found my first Little Hero Riktor Phillips. I have been following his story and blog for over a year now and he was the first person I thought of when I was contacted by TLHP. For those of you know don’t know his story, last winter, the day after christmas Riktor was diagnosed with medullablastoma with spinal metastases (brain cancer that spread down his spine). He had the first of several surgeries to remove the tumor and is a survivor. Our session is planned for sometime this month and I am anxious to spend time with Riktor and his family.

The Littlest Heroes Project is a non-profit based organization made up of professional photographers nationwide that provide free photo sessions to our nations Littlest Heroes. This is their way of giving back and taking a stand for these children who sometimes feel forgotten because of their illnesses. We are here to let them know that they are heroes to many, and to share their inspirational stories and photos with the world. If you have a child, or know a child, who suffers from any type of serious illness we are here to help.

The Littlest Heroes Project provides families with a complimentary photo shoots for their hero and family. The whole family … Super Sibs and the Brave Parents are welcome to participate in these sessions as well!

As a young child I grew up knowing my mom had lost her first born, I was her second. He was born premature and she never got a single photo of him. In many ways the grieving process never stopped. Her loss was something my younger brother and I knew and tried to understand for many years. I don’t think there was ever a time that the thought didn’t cross my mind of us never having the chance to meet or get to know our older brother. Every year on his birthday my mom grieves the loss of her baby and it has been over 30 years. It wasn’t until I miscarried my own baby that I began to understood just a tiny bit more how my mom must have felt and I believe having a photo of him might have helped her through her grieving process so many years ago. It is for this reason that I am so honored to participate in such a wonderful organization such as this.

Having the opportunity to help other parents through their own grieving process by providing families a private photo session so that they may cherish those precious moments with their child for a lifetime is something I knew I wanted to do when I first heard of NILMDTS. All bereavement services are available to families suffering infant death, stillbirth or with children in the care of hospice and is offered FREE OF CHARGE.
