I took a trip out to Sonoma to meet this sweet precious little girl when she was just a wee 11 days old. Her mom and I had been in contact for months before she was born so when I got the message she finally arrived you can imagine how excited I was to finally meet her.
Just a couple weeks after I met up with her momma, Melissa for her maternity session, precious little Mia was welcomed into this world. I got a chance to meet her at just 2 weeks old for her newborn session. She is such a beautiful little angel ♥
Mia had the most adorable nursery I have ever seen. Her room was filled with lots of pink and butterflies. She is one lucky little girl.
There is something so sweet about newborn sessions that I can not explain. This precious baby girl was a little doll and so alert throughout our whole session this morning. I loved how she’d seem to follow me with those big blue/grey eyes as I would move around the room. She was a little talker too and loved talking to her momma. Its was the cutest thing. I just can’t get enough of the sweet baby sounds newborns make even with all the fussing and crying that happens in-between.
As a special treat momma wanted to include her mother’s baby shoes for the session which you will see her holding in one of the photos. I really had a great time playing with this beautiful baby girl and her momma.

As with all newborn sessions there are always plenty of breaks to eat. Momma and baby were having a little chat and then she was wide awake all over again. It is clear there is a special bond between momma and her baby.
I just love this one. There is something magical about momma’s pinky 
Aw another precious little guy was welcomed into this world the day I came back from vacation. Right before leaving town I met up with his mom and big sister for a maternity session and was so excited to hear the news he arrived the day I returned from vacation. His auntie is actually my friend/neighbor and I took Adam’s cousin’s newborn photos a year and a half ago.

Another precious little guy. Baby P was just 2 weeks old when I met him for his newborn photos. Even though most my tiny little clients seem to fuss at the beginning of our sessions, they all seem to finally get into the grove of things and are happy as can be.

So tiny and sweet, one of my favorite things about working with newborns is listing to all the little grunts and sounds they make as they try to settle down just before falling asleep. This precious little guy is just two weeks old and even though he was such a sleepy boy he showed his little smiled.
Remember this little guy? His birth was my first session in 2010. I have been meaning to post his photos on my blog but only got as far as posting a few on Facebook and Flickr. I absolutely adore photographing newborns and little Robert let me come play for a couple sessions (once alone and then with the family)
Just a tiny little peanut and my first session with a preemie. This little guy was the sweetest ever and his parents were such a pleasure to work with. I love all the tiny little details captured during this session ♥
This last friday I got a chance to visit with 6 day old Westley. He was such a good baby and spent most of the time happily sleeping.
Meet baby Jackson. I had a chance to photograph this precious little guy yesterday. He was not much of a fan of the camera but loved the lamb skin. I think he looks like a little angel. All he is missing are the wings =)
