My Rock’n Baby

January 7, 2009

I can’t believe my baby girl will be 2 on Valentine’s Day. Where does the time go? Today I got her all dressed up and took a few pics of her in her new pettiskirt and a jacket that was her big sister’s once upon a time

My girl giving me attitude

I was laying on the cold damp ground and she thought it was so funny and kept on trying to go get mama

Silly girl saw a plane and got so excited.

When it was time to go in Shelsea plopped herself down on the sidewalk and decided leafs were the coolest thing on the planet.

3 of a kind…

January 5, 2009

These are my 3 beautiful girls all dressed in matching outfits from Osh Kosh, my favorite store. I only have maybe one more year that my oldest could still fit in their clothes so I am taking advantage while I can. This afternoon we went out with a friend of mine who also bought the same outfit for her two girls. Some might say we are crazy but we really got a kick out of seeing all 5 of them dressed exactly alike.

Night I decided to try a little urban processing with this photo with a color pop and texture added to the backgroun. It seems to fit the style I think but please feel free to tell me what you think.

First photos of the year

January 1, 2009

So what did you do the first day of the new year? Anything fun?

We laid low for the most part today. I got to sleep in and my husband made breakfast for everyone. Now wasn’t that sweet =) So to start off the new year on the right step we all got out for a nice 4 mile walk. It was a little chilly out but so beautiful. I love the smell of NorCal air.

On our way home I tooka few photos of my girls. My two oldest did great and I got some picture worthy photos but my baby was just not having it.

Her photo didn’t come out to well but I love the expression on her face. I put on the flower headband to hold back her hair while on our walk but when I went to take it off she cried. Poor baby. :(

A little down time.

December 21, 2008

Its nice to have a little down time these last few days before Christmas. It been so busy these last few weeks with last minute holiday sessions, editing and placing orders. I still have a few more orders to get out, a preview to get up and a wedding next weekend but over all its been pretty quiet. My poor girls have seen their momma working long hours so I have been trying to get in some family time here and there.

For the first time ever we painted our own christmas ornaments and it was so much more fun than I had expected. I thought for sure our evening was going to end in tears and a huge mess but that didn’t happen at all. This afternoon we hung our handmade ornaments in the tree and they look adorable.

This one was made by my oldest daughter.

and this is a creation made by her younger sister

There are just 3 more days till christmas. I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season no matter what holiday you celebrate this time of year. Sending you all hugs and well wishes to you and your family.

Sunset at North Salmon Beach

December 3, 2008

Tonight my family and I took a trip to North Salmon Beach to see the sunset. Even though the sun had completely disappeared we still walked down to the beach and watched the waves crash. It was a beautiful night and the colors in the sky were amazing.

This is my husband and my oldest. I don’t know what they are doing but I thought it was cute they both were doing the exact same thing at the same time.

I am not sure which of these two I like best but one of them is going to end up on my wall.

Its been a really busy weekend so its nice to stop every once in a while and spend time with family. Tomorrow I promise to share some photos from my session this weekend.

North Coast Railroad

Another photo from my trip to Petaluma on Sunday. Not sure if this will be the shot that makes it to the xmas card but still I like it. It shows each one of their personalities well.

Today’s historic election day was an exciting one. While my husband was inside placing his vote I waited outside with my girls and just couldn’t help myself but to take a couple photos of my youngest hamming it up for the camera. It seems lately any time I try and get a photo she runs away from me like i have the plague LOL

Her big sister picked a lovely flower for her baby sister who thought it was the funniest thing to make her silly faces.

Yes I know halloween is over but I love dressing her up when I can. Today she sported her new lady bug shirt with her favorite pink fairy wings and black tutu. Yup she has a style all her own already.

Oh goodness I love her goofy faces…

What a happy baby she is :D

Caught in the Moment

October 21, 2008

With my mom visiting all last week I didn’t much computer time, not that its a bad thing though because it was absolutely awesome to have a chance to spend some time with my mom, but now I find myself trying to catch up on what I missed last week. I have a few special photos I wanted to share though.

On our way home from San Francisco after spending the morning on Alcatraz we decided to make a stop at Fort Point which sits right below the South San Francisco Side of the Golden Gate Bridge. Of course I had to shoot a couple pics of my gorgeous girls.

My girls ~ You can really see each one of their personalities. I love it how different they are from each other.

The next day we headed back to SF to meet with my brother for a late lunch/early dinner at Bubba Gump before he caught his flight home.

As we waited for our food my brother braided K’s hair and then braided his own so they could match On our drive down K made her uncle a special card. These pics were taken just after he read it.

Can you tell how much these two love each other? They really do have a special bond.

At the end of the week we took a trip to St. Helena to visit Grandpa and have some ice cream at the Big Dipper.

And I saved the best for last…. He looks adorable with his ice cream cone.

Tonight I should be editing photos but instead I am researching car seats and decided to start to go through our vacation photos. I still have yet to closely look at them and we have been home nearly two weeks. I found this one of my youngest and thought to myself, “Life is so easy when you are little”

Now if only she would go to bed. I don’t think she realizes its after 1am and momma is tired LOL

We are having some kind of funky heat wave right now and I can barely stand it without AC. This afternoon my oldest had open house so after all the festivities we all took a walk around the field. I figured what better opportunity then to do a little portrait study of my youngest walking. Its something I haven’t done yet and I sure do get a kick out of watching her walk.

Here is my favorite shot of the day.
