It was my very first time going there and I’d have to say its so much more beautiful than I had imagined. Mom and dad wanted to have their first family photo to follow up to Baby J’s newborn session we had just a few weeks earlier. He was such a champ and even smiled for the absolutely perfect family photo. We couldn’t have planned for this even if we tried.

Clearly this little guy is adored by his parents and how can you resist this face.

In honor of this special day I want to share a few of the other photos taken last month from Todd and Trianna’s session; one of the photos made the cover of Sonoma Family Life Magazine and MendoLake Family Life Magazine.

If you have followed my blog over the years, you already know Trianna makes frequent appearances.  Lucky for me her parents love to have her photo taken often and Trianna loves to be in front of the camera. When the opportunity came up to submit a photo for the Sonoma Family Life Magazine June Issue, I was very happy that Todd and Trianna were available for a very last minute session.

There were so many great photos I don’t think I have a personal favorite but I do have to chuckle every time I look at the “cover shot” because the smile on Todd’s face is priceless. Its a result of that special bond between father and daughter combined with wet kisses LOL

A few weeks ago I got a chance to head out to a gorgeous private property for a couple family sessions in the vineyards while the mustard fields were blooming. With all the natural beauty that NorCal has to offer I don’t think I will ever get tired of living here or what the changing seasons have to offer.

It was a fun afternoon playing with the kids and experimenting with light. This girl just cracks me up. There is never a dull moment when she is around and I love how her personality shines through in each and every session we have together.

With all the rain we had been having here in the North Bay scheduling our session has been tricky. Luckily the rain decided to give way the day before we were to get together. The recent rains really got the creek roaring here in Santa Rosa and was absolutely beautiful. I had a wonderful time meeting with Safiya and her family.

I love the smells and watching the yellow/brown hills change colors and show their first signs of green. The only down side is that it makes for planning outdoor sessions a little unpredictable. I had to reschedule a couple times with the K family because of the rain but in the end we managed to get together just the day after some rain fall. Their property in Graton was absolutely gorgeous, full of beautiful colors and textures. Definitely a fun session with a wonderful family and two cute little ones :)

My absolute favorite time of year is the Fall. I love watching the vineyards change colors from green to lovely shades of yellow and burgundy. Sadly the change happens so quickly that waiting just a couple weeks to even a couple days you can miss all the beautiful colors.

A few weeks ago I got to meet up with the S family right when the fall colors were at their finest in beautiful Sonoma County. Momma is due with their 3rd child in just a few short days (a week to be exact) though I know she is secretly hoping he/she arrives sooner then that.

The holiday season is in full swing and I had the pleasure of meeting up with so many wonderful families.  I am so far behind in my blog posts but I wanted to start getting some up from this year’s holiday season starting off with a good friend of mine and her family. Last year we went down to Petaluma for her Holiday photos so this we did something different and headed over to the beautiful Sebastopol to take advantage of the beautiful colors.

Our session started at a local tree farm.

Then we head out to a local winery with a cool barn and lovely fall vines.

Little C is such a goof. All she wanted to do was play and run around so ended up cracking me up with her silly faces.
