There is something about the first rain that just brings Sonoma County to life. I love the smells and watching the yellow/brown hills change colors and show their first signs of green. The only down side is that it makes for planning outdoor sessions a little unpredictable. I had to reschedule a couple times with the K family because of the rain but in the end we managed to get together just the day after some rain fall. Their property in Graton was absolutely gorgeous, full of beautiful colors and textures. Definitely a fun session with a wonderful family and two cute little ones :)

My absolute favorite time of year is the Fall. I love watching the vineyards change colors from green to lovely shades of yellow and burgundy. Sadly the change happens so quickly that waiting just a couple weeks to even a couple days you can miss all the beautiful colors.

A few weeks ago I got to meet up with the S family right when the fall colors were at their finest in beautiful Sonoma County. Momma is due with their 3rd child in just a few short days (a week to be exact) though I know she is secretly hoping he/she arrives sooner then that.

Its been a crazy busy holiday season. Now that I have a little down time I can finally catch up on all the wonderful sessions I have had these last few months. I had a chance to visit one of my favorite locations down in Petaluma with the N family which was perfect for this family

It has been crazy busy this last month and a half. The holiday season is in full swing and I had the pleasure of meeting up with so many wonderful families.  I am so far behind in my blog posts but I wanted to start getting some up from this year’s holiday season starting off with a good friend of mine and her family. Last year we went down to Petaluma for her Holiday photos so this we did something different and headed over to the beautiful Sebastopol to take advantage of the beautiful colors.

Our session started at a local tree farm.

Then we head out to a local winery with a cool barn and lovely fall vines.

Little C is such a goof. All she wanted to do was play and run around so ended up cracking me up with her silly faces.

Many times I have driven by the Santa Rosa Laguna thinking how beautiful it looks from the road but I had never stopped. On a whim I decided to pull over on the morning before our session and was surprised to see how beautiful this place is up close and personal. I had a wonderful time with this family as we got to check out a new location, one of which I know I will be returning to again.

At last I finally get a chance to share photos from Little J’s session. This little guy won the Fabulous Faces contest back in May and I have been anxiously waiting for the fall to take his photos along with a few with the family as well. Had a fun time hanging out with this little guy and his family. Soon he will be a big brother so at the end of our session I captured a few shots of his mom who I happen to think has an adorable baby bump.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet this handsome little guy and his family. I had a wonderful time exploring their property finding so many wonderful locations for their session. Loved it!!!

This little guy dressed up as Pooh Bear for Halloween and naturally we just had to get a photo of him in his costume. Isn’t he the cutest?

Not to long ago I got a chance to meet a sweet little boy and his new family. This little guy was all smiles and just loved showing off his mad light saber skills with any stick he could find. His brother and sister just loved climbing all the trees they could find and at the end of our session together everyone was in the tree for one last family photo.

On a dreary day like today its wonderful to be able to going through a session like this and see how beautiful Santa Rosa can be this time of year.

Just 5-1/2 weeks ago this family welcomed their handsome little guy into this world. Nicole and Nick are long time clients of mine and really great friends. I absolutely love our sessions together and am so excited to share their most recent family photos. A year and a half ago was our first session and Wyatt was just 7 months old. Now he is quite the active toddler and a very loving big brother.

Every year I have the pleasure of getting together with this little tribe for their family photos. Just a year ago the family grew by one more to make a family of 7. So much has happened in the last year with Baby G turning 1, her sister starting kindergarten (happens to be in the same class as my little girl) and the big kids doing great in their new school. I can’t believe its been 4 years already since I first met this family and I am so proud to call them my friends.

For this year’s family photo we decided to go/try something new and head over to Railroad Square in Santa Rosa, Ca. Each time I head over there I find something new to love.

Gotta love the expressions on these adorable kiddos. Definitely shows their personalities. I find it funny how each one of them have dirtied their jeans the same way.

Just the kids:

Took this one a while back but never blogged it. Baby G was loving this bucket and then some. She is so cute.

Young love. This little guy was loving on my youngest. They are just too cute. I wonder what they are going to say when they look at this photo as adults.
