Becka Lynn Photography on Facebook

Every year I have the pleasure of getting together with this little tribe for their family photos. Just a year ago the family grew by one more to make a family of 7. So much has happened in the last year with Baby G turning 1, her sister starting kindergarten (happens to be in the same class as my little girl) and the big kids doing great in their new school. I can’t believe its been 4 years already since I first met this family and I am so proud to call them my friends.

For this year’s family photo we decided to go/try something new and head over to Railroad Square in Santa Rosa, Ca. Each time I head over there I find something new to love.

Gotta love the expressions on these adorable kiddos. Definitely shows their personalities. I find it funny how each one of them have dirtied their jeans the same way.

Just the kids:

Took this one a while back but never blogged it. Baby G was loving this bucket and then some. She is so cute.

Young love. This little guy was loving on my youngest. They are just too cute. I wonder what they are going to say when they look at this photo as adults.

I just can’t wait and had to share a couple photos from my two sessions today. This morning I took a trip down to Petaluma for a “first birthday” and a “Back to School” session. I know the parents for these two beautiful girls are anxious to see what we got today so I hope this tiny preview will hold you over.

A couple weeks ago I met up with my friend Barb, who was visiting from Alaska, for her family session. We met up at one of my favorite locations in Historic Downtown Petaluma. These two guys were such a hoot and had me laughing the whole time.

Barb this one is for you. I promise to post more soon.

Its late and I should be in bed yet here I am. As the saying goes, boys will be boys and this little guy is no exception. He sure knows how to make me laugh just by being himself. Tonight as I waited for an order to upload I sat here looking through my sessions still waiting to be edited and I came across this little guy. I can’t help but to smile as I look through all the silly faces he gave me.

There is something about a toothless smile…

His sweet smile soon turned into a scary monster (I think) while he was showing me one of his yoga poses.

Check out his shoes…I love it!!!

I love the shirt too…its made up with some of favorite colors.

I’m a little behind in previews but slowly and surely I am catching up. While down in Southern California I found myself super busy catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. My second session was with Gabe and his sister Lani. I haven’t seen Gabe since he was a newborn or met his new sister so it was an extra special treat to get a chance to visit with him and his family. His dad and my husband are long time surfing buddies so our families go way back =o)

Another preview from my recent set of mini sessions around historic Petaluma. This gorgeous little girl happens to be friends with the two adorable brothers I posted yesterday. She was such a doll and lovely to photograph. So many of her expressions and poses were just things that came naturally without any direction from me.

I fell in love with this last photo the moment I saw it after I took it.  Thank you so much for coming down and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you.

I had so much fun with these two little guys. His mom brought them down to Petaluma for a mini session right before I left out of town. She has so patiently waited for a preview so I can’t have her wait any longer.

I think this section of Petaluma is becoming my new favorite hang out. There are great locations around every corner and what looks old and dirty to one person is beautiful to me.

I love the view from this waterfront balcony. Every time I have visited this location there are have been so many people just hanging out up there.

This little guy is just too cute. He has the most adorable smile as you can see and he loved sitting on these steps though it was making mom a little nervous.

Momma I hope you enjoyed your little preview. It was great meeting you and your adorable little guys.

A few days ago I had the pleasure to meet with tattoo artist  Scott from Santa Rosa Tattoo and his family for one awesome Urban Session in Petaluma.  There couldn’t have been a better family for one of my favorite locations. I have been trying so hard to go through all the photos but its so hard to choose just a few for a preview so be prepared for a picture overload.

For our session we headed down to one rusty old funky train that was covered in graffiti and full of character. Scott’s two older boys were climbing all over these trains like it was nothing.

I had an incredible time hanging out with you all so thanks again for coming down and checking out this cool hide away.

The Kids

This precious girl turned around and gave me this pose when I least expected it. She is so beautiful

Handsome Little Guy

Cool Big Brother

At the High School Senior. I swear I didn’t tell him to pose like this. He did this all by himself.

Momma and her girl

A photo with Papa :)

and last but not least a tattoo shot for mom

Mid next week marks the end of the school year and the end of the 5th grade. My oldest has done so good this year and I am so proud. She seems to be down in the dumps these past couple of weeks. Not sure exactly why but to help boost her spirits we headed out for a little photo session just for her. She was so happy to be the “super star” for the day which I thought was just beyond adorable.

Looking at the photos now I just can’t get over how much she looks just like her daddy and how much she has grown. My little girl so slowly becoming a teen.

and of course one last pic with her flute before she has to return it back to the school for the summer

Trianna’s Day Out

May 10, 2009

Today I had these grand plans to go visit the Sonoma Horticultural Nursery but ended up going for a drive with my friend who is visiting for the week. The girls had a blast and on our way home we saw this barn on the side of the road with the most beautiful red poppies.

This is my friend’s daughter Trianna. A year ago she was one of my lovely models for my Be Inspired Cemetery Session. I can’t wait for her to move back to this neck of the woods because I love to photograph her. Trianna found this umbrella in the car and just had to have her photos taken with it :)
