50th Wedding Anniversary ~ Part 2 | Santa Rosa Family Photographer | Becka Lynn Photography
December 18, 2011I have been purposely saving this session to bring some yummy sunshine on a gloomy day.
It appears winter is officially here in the North Bay and its really starting to get chilly.
Over the summer I meet a wonderful family who all got together for a weekend to celebrate their parent’s 50th Wedding Anniversary.
The family rented this gorgeous house in the hills around Larkspur Santa Rosa that had the most beautiful backdrop.
We couldn’t have asked or planned for more perfect of a day with some of the yummiest sunlight I have seen all year.
I’ve always enjoyed photographing large family gatherings. I don’t know what it is about it in particular but there is something to be said
when you get parents, children and grandchildren all together in one place especially when its for such a specially occasion like an anniversary.
Everyone was a joy to work with and such a wonderful family.

September 14, 2011I had the pleasure of meeting with precious 4 month old Liliana, her gorgeous mommy and super sweet grandma. She has got to be the best baby I have ever photographed. The entire session was just beyond amazing. I only have one little teezer to share but will have more very soon. Where is the “LOVE” button when I need it?

July 23, 2011Its a little late but as I catch up on all my past due blogging I wanted to start with this special little guy. Over the last year I have enjoyed seeing this little guy grow up. We first met when he was just 2 weeks old for his newborn photos and got together again when he was about 6 months old for a Christmas themed session.
A couple months ago we got together in Sebastopol for his first year photos and then again for his birthday party.

December 25, 2010A little late but better late than never. I met up with my little buddy Josh and his parents for a Christmas session. These were also Josh’s 6 monthish photos and I can’t get over how much he has grown since his newborn session.

November 21, 2010My job is always made easier when I get anyone who is naturally photogenic and baby Grace was perfect.
Of course it helps that both mom and grandma were there to help make her smile.
We spent the afternoon trekking around Fountain Grove Area starting off at the Old Round Barn. I have always wanted to go there but had not figured out how.
Luckily momma knew exactly where to go and had picked out perfect spots for her baby girl’s photos.
This just makes me giggle.
She was not a fan of the yellow grass and I love how grandma styled her hair
Surrounding the red barn was this really cool fence. At first glance it doesn’t look like much since its
falling apart but up close its a perfect setting for this precious baby girl.
Before heading home we took a walk down this gorgeous walking path.
As you know I have a thing for rusty old things and this bridge was just that.

Newborn Baby C | Petaluma Newborn Photographer
November 18, 2010There is something so sweet about newborn sessions that I can not explain. This precious baby girl was a little doll and so alert throughout our whole session this morning. I loved how she’d seem to follow me with those big blue/grey eyes as I would move around the room. She was a little talker too and loved talking to her momma. Its was the cutest thing. I just can’t get enough of the sweet baby sounds newborns make even with all the fussing and crying that happens in-between.
As a special treat momma wanted to include her mother’s baby shoes for the session which you will see her holding in one of the photos. I really had a great time playing with this beautiful baby girl and her momma.

As with all newborn sessions there are always plenty of breaks to eat. Momma and baby were having a little chat and then she was wide awake all over again. It is clear there is a special bond between momma and her baby.
I just love this one. There is something magical about momma’s pinky

November 11, 2010I had so much fun the day I got together with Melissa and her family. She lives on the outskirts of Santa Rosa and we had the privilege of using several properties around her place. That morning had been super cloudy but luckily it all cleared up and the sun came out in time for our session.
I loved the really awesome tire swing hanging from the tree in the front yard.
Down the road a ways across the street from a little pumpkin patch was this awesome row of trees. Poor little guy was so done at this point and wanted to play and run in the trees vs stand still for a photo.
And this one just cracks me up. I will admit I’m a city girl so seeing anything on a farm is new and cool. I had kneeled down to check out this tractor/farming something or another and this little one decided to get up close and personal with my camera lens. I love the face he is making.

October 5, 2010Oh my gosh I can’t tell you how much I loved meeting up with these two precious little girls for a second time. Their momma suggested we head on down to St. Francis in Marinwood and boy was I in photographer’s heaven. Luckily her father works there so we had access to this gorgeous private property. If I could this is one place I would love to visit again. The grounds have so many beautiful little places that make for great backdrops. The lighting was beyond perfect while we were there which made my job super easy.
This time it was Little Miss E’s turn to shine and boy did she rock it. I seriously could photograph this little girl all day long and she loves the camera.
