My job is always made easier when I get anyone who is naturally photogenic and baby Grace was perfect.
Of course it helps that both mom and grandma were there to help make her smile.

We spent the afternoon trekking around Fountain Grove Area starting off at the Old Round Barn. I have always wanted to go there but had not figured out how.
Luckily momma knew exactly where to go and had picked out perfect spots for her baby girl’s photos.

This just makes me giggle.
She was not a fan of the yellow grass and I love how grandma styled her hair :)

Surrounding the red barn was this really cool fence. At first glance it doesn’t look like much since its
falling apart but up close its a perfect setting for this precious baby girl.

Before heading home we took a walk down this gorgeous walking path.
As you know I have a thing for rusty old things and this bridge was just that.

Check out the FB page for more photos of this little cutie.

There is something so sweet about newborn sessions that I can not explain. This precious baby girl was a little doll and so alert throughout our whole session this morning. I loved how she’d seem to follow me with those big blue/grey eyes as I would move around the room. She was a little talker too and loved talking to her momma. Its was the cutest thing. I just can’t get enough of the sweet baby sounds newborns make even with all the fussing and crying that happens in-between.

As a special treat momma wanted to include her mother’s baby shoes for the session which you will see her holding in one of the photos. I really had a great time playing with this beautiful baby girl and her momma.

Precious little girl fell asleep in her mom’s arms holding onto her shirt. Momma says she does this all-the-time :)

As with all newborn sessions there are always plenty of breaks to eat. Momma and baby were having a little chat and then she was wide awake all over again.  It is clear there is a special bond between momma and her baby.

I just love this one. There is something magical about momma’s pinky ;)

♥ ♥ I can not express enough now much I love what I do. ♥ ♥

Yesterday I met up with the most amazing family for brother and sister high school senior sessions. We headed down to the Marin Headland bunkers and had an incredible time. The setting was perfect setting and I had complete artistic freedom. This session rocked!!! I came home so excited that I just had to get a few photos up for a preview before going to bed. I am so looking forward to meeting with the family tomorrow for their session preview.

Here are a couple of my favs from our session.

I had so much fun the day I got together with Melissa and her family. She lives on the outskirts of Santa Rosa and we had the privilege of using several properties around her place. That morning had been super cloudy but luckily it all cleared up and the sun came out in time for our session.

I loved the really awesome tire swing hanging from the tree in the front yard.

Down the road a ways across the street from a little pumpkin patch was this awesome row of trees. Poor little guy was so done at this point and wanted to play and run in the trees vs stand still for a photo.

And this one just cracks me up. I will admit I’m a city girl so seeing anything on a farm is new and cool. I had kneeled down to check out this tractor/farming something or another and this little one decided to get up close and personal with my camera lens. I love the face he is making.

Its not often I get to work with Seniors but when I do its quite fun. I enjoyed meeting with Sandra and getting to know her a bit during our session in and around Historic Downtown Petaluma. I can not say it enough how much I love all the textures and backdrops that area has to offer. Here are just a few favs from our session.

Its always exciting when I get to work with a family again and seeing how much the kids have grown from the previous year. I couple weeks ago I met up with this family for a mini session down in the Fountain Grove area of Santa Rosa. This was a neat new location and a bit of a treasure filled with lots of fall leaves, mossy covered rocks, a creak and lots of poison oak. Luckily after trekking through for several hours no one got it and its definitely a place I’d like to visit again.

I love the special bond these two share and how well it shows in these photos.

I know its a tad late but I am finally getting a chance to update this blog with photos from one of my favorite girls to photograph. I’m sure you all recognize miss Trianna as she is frequently in front of my camera.

This year for her back-to-school photos we headed down to Railroad Square in Santa Rosa which happens to be one of my favorite urban settings to shoot. Her mom went all out and bought this most adorable outfit which IMHO is just so her ♥

In the parking lot in front of the visitor center there was this really neat bug so we asked the guy if we could borrow it for Trianna’s session. Luckily the guy was super nice and didn’t mind at all. I absolutely love this photo.

I just can’t get over how big my babies are getting. I swear kids just grow up way too fast!!! I’m finally getting a chance to share a few photos from a session I did last month down at Railroad Square in Santa Rosa with my own girls. This is something I look forward to doing around their birthdays which lucky for me allows for sessions 3 times a year and its so neat seeing how much they have changed from the year before. Considering I am photographer you would think my walls are filled with recent photos of my own girls but sadly photos get taken and never printed. This year however I couldn’t resist and finally I have updated/recent photos hanging on my walls.

My oldest started Jr High/Middle school this year. Already I can see she is loosing that little girl look and is becoming a teenager.

*sniff sniff* She is looking so grown up

I just love this shot of my youngest. Its a face she makes all the time but this was the first time I have been lucky enough to capture it.
I can’t help but to smile every time I see this.
