My little buddy Cole has the most infectious smile. Just a couple days before making my trip to Los Angeles I met up with Cole and his family for a session down at Point Reyes Bear Valley Trail. Despite the horrible heat we were having inland the weather was very pleasant down around Point Reyes.

This family session included Cole’s parents, uncle, grandmother, grandfather and his wife. It was a pleasure to meet some more of his family and I had a wonderful time.

Just the boys ~ 3 Generations.

Everyone got some one on one time with this little guy starting with his very loving parents.

And let us not forget my friends Whitney and Josh who also happen to be Cole’s mom and dad ;)

Thank you for such a wonderful time. One of these days I will have to head out there again and hike the rest of Bear Valley Trail. I wanna see what is at the other end :D

Unfortunately our day ended with a very sad phone call from my mom telling me that my grandpa had just passed away. I can not thank my friend Whitney enough for being there and offering comfort when I needed it most. You all are the best and I am so thankful to have friends like you.

Petaluma Car & Air Show

August 4, 2009

Right before heading out of town I met up with a friend of mine to check out the Petaluma Car & Air Show. It seems Sonoma County is always having some kind of cool event going on so it was neat to be able to get out with the girls and see what its all about. Unfortunately it was blazing hot out but we still had a great time. Here are just a few favorite photos from the day.

Along with all the classic cars and planes there were also local public service representatives like the police, fire department and transit showing the kids all their cool vehicles.

The kids checked out the Petaluma Police Car first which was actually pretty neat. I never knew what the back seat of a police car looked like until then.

Even the SWAT vehicles were there too. How cool is this?

There was so much to see, much more than I expected.

Jungle Plane Pilot’s flight buddy?

and a couple very happy kids

Last set from the Mini sessions in historic Petaluma. Baby Sophia just celebrated her first birthday just a few weeks ago. Time sure goes by fast. I can’t believe she is already one. Our journey together began when I got together with her mom for her maternity photos while she got a henna tattoo. Then exactly one year ago (to the day) I got to take this precious girl’s newborn photos. I would like to say we planned it that way but I didn’t realize it until tonight that her photos were taken exactly one year apart. Talk about perfect timing.

This little girl has so much personality and an absolute joy to be around. She is such a sweet heart and check out those awesome eye lashes.

Oh and check out this little pouty face.

Makes you wonder how HUGE a simple flight of stairs looks to a baby.

Hanging onto daddy for support.

Ready, Set, Go!

I love this photo. You can clearly see the special bond this little girl has with her daddy. Awww

Thanks again to daddy for bringing her out for her bday pics. I had a great time and it was so nice to hang out with this baby girl for a little while.

Another preview from my recent set of mini sessions around historic Petaluma. This gorgeous little girl happens to be friends with the two adorable brothers I posted yesterday. She was such a doll and lovely to photograph. So many of her expressions and poses were just things that came naturally without any direction from me.

I fell in love with this last photo the moment I saw it after I took it.  Thank you so much for coming down and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you.

I had so much fun with these two little guys. His mom brought them down to Petaluma for a mini session right before I left out of town. She has so patiently waited for a preview so I can’t have her wait any longer.

I think this section of Petaluma is becoming my new favorite hang out. There are great locations around every corner and what looks old and dirty to one person is beautiful to me.

I love the view from this waterfront balcony. Every time I have visited this location there are have been so many people just hanging out up there.

This little guy is just too cute. He has the most adorable smile as you can see and he loved sitting on these steps though it was making mom a little nervous.

Momma I hope you enjoyed your little preview. It was great meeting you and your adorable little guys.
