Summer is over and its time for our little ones to get back to school with some starting school for the very first time this year. As a parent we all want to remember those first days of school when our children are moving up as a “big kid” especially those milestone years when they start pre-school, kindergarten, middle school or high school.

Every year we are given the opportunity to purchase the annual “School Portrait”. Really who can resist (okay I know some of you can) but even a photographer like myself I always buy at least one school photo as a keep-sake because I know this is the photo that be used in the school year book and ID cards. As a mom know I how important it is to have a new photo every year of my girls. Unfortunately most often these “School Portraits” may not best convey my child’s personality that I know and see every day.
