Its a labor of love but still a work in progress. I have been wanting to get a site up just to cover weddings and many long hours its up.

((insert happy dance here))

Go check it out at http://becka-lynn-photography.com/weddings

Its a new template, the second of the two I won in the BluDomain photo contest back in April. I love how it turned out and I can’t wait to add more photos. Be sure to check out the featured galleries.

This Sunday I have my first big wedding which is for Faith and Jake. I am so excited. The nerves have not set in yet and frankly I am hoping they don’t. I have two really awesome and talented ladies working with me this weekend.  I am sure we will be a great match and this will be lots of fun. Secretly I hope that things go so well that we 3 will be able to work together again in Aug for the next wedding.

Last week I had a second maternity session with the beautiful Kathy who just gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday. We were rushing to fit in one more session before her baby girl was scheduled to arrive and luckily we made it hapeen just in time.

Once again I had a wonderful time hanging out with Kathy. I think I am truely blessed to meet such amazing people doing something I absolutely love. Kathy had a special request to find someplace that had a field of grass which I was lucky enough to find someplace local.

Feeling a little adventurous, just 3 days before her baby was born Kathy climbed a tree. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen.

Thanks for the adventure and a wonderful afternoon. I hope you are resting well and I am looking forward to meeting that precious baby girl here soon.

Once again I got a chance to hang out with this precious little girl. For our first session we took a trip down to the Sonoma Horticultural Gardens and this time I got to visit her at home. She has grown so much in just a few weeks and this time she really let her personality shine. I love it when I get a chance to photograph babies. I am able to get my baby fix without having another. Its the best of both worlds.

This precious girl did so good. Of course like any baby she fussed a bit when she got hungry or when we moved her too much but for the most part she was all smiles.

Momma had a great idea to get a shot of Lana buried under all her friends on her bed like ET did. To me it looks more like where’s waldo, Lana style. As you can see she is oh so happy.

Momma wanted a few photos of Lana showing off her little dress.

In 3 months I plan on going back and taking another photo of her on this same bed to see how she measures up. Too Cute!

Does a baby smile get any cuter that this? She loves her momma. If you look closely you could see her long eye lashes.

This one is my favorite!!!

Momma bought these angel wings especially for Lana. We took a set of photos at the nursery but this time we were able to get this now sleepy baby in black and white. I love all her little baby chub!

It seems lately my blog previews are a little larger than usual. What can I say, I really have been loving my sessions too much that is hard not to want to go overboard.

Last Sunday I headed on over to Sonoma Horticultural Nursery to met up with Jake & Faith for their engagement session. From the very first time I set my eyes on this incredible place I knew it would be perfect for this couple.  In just 3 short weeks these young love birds will be getting married in Healdsburg. I can’t believe its almost the big day for this adorable couple.

This is one of my favorite engagements photos and by far my favorite from the whole session. I set out to capture this couple’s young love and I think I got it perfectly in this image alone.

Here are a few others I liked from our session. It took me 2 days to pick just these few out for the blog. There were so many good ones it was hard to choose.

Last night a very dear friend of mine told me that she is blessed with a little bundle on joy who is on its way. Today was super busy but I did manage to sneak away to take this pic for her. We have plans to take one every month which is so exciting. I have always wanted to so something like that and now I have a willing participant.

30 Days ~ Day 1

June 17, 2009

My friend and I have challenged each other to take a photo a day for the next 30 days. Sounds easy enough right? Already I can see the challenge that lays ahead. Its going to be fun though. There are no set rules other than to take a photo everyday even when we are not in the mood to pick up the camera.

So today marks day one and this is my photo for the day.

She is only 2yrs old and already too cool for her shades. Got milk?

I stood up late last night (hum maybe technically early this morning since it was 5am) working on this recent maternity session. Last week I met with K to talk about her session and we decided to head on over to Sonoma Horticulteral Nursery this last Friday. It was a beautiful day and I just love the photos from that day. I have been to nursery 3 times now and I still can’t get over how much the temperature changes in there.  Its quite lovely.

We started in the Yellow Garden near the gazebo and got this beautiful image which to me feels like I was peeking in through the garden to get this tender moment.

For the most part this baby girl slept through our session but woke up for a tiny bit when K was sitting out in the sun.

I love this wheel bench. We got quite the giggle taking this photo. I should have taken a shot of what was happening behind the scenes.

And my favorite photo taken just before we left.

I had a great time with the first time mommy and am looking forward to having our second session soon :)

Yesterday morning was spent in the beautiful wine country and that the Napa Valley Equestrian Center. It was a gorgeous day to be outside. Last year I had the privilege to attend Alexis’ second horse show at Idylwild Farms and was excited to be invited back again this year. I don’t know anything about this stuff but in my amateur eye I noticed a huge difference and she did great!

I couldn’t wait for the jumps, they are my favorite part of the show.

Ah the beauty of Napa is breath taking.

This year Alexis road on Shadow. He is such a beautiful horse. He did make me giggle though because he kept trying to get in the spot light and push Alexis aside.

And this was the end to a great day.

Thanks again for inviting me out there to share in Alexis big day. Once again this was a wonderful day and I had so much fun. I am looking forward to the next show.
