Sonoma County Mustard Fields

I have been longing to get out in the mustard fields but all this rain has made it impossible. Luckily we got a 3 day break with some sun which of course I gathered up my girls and got out there first chance I got.

Thanks to a friend of mine I was granted special private access to a local mustard field here in Santa Rosa. Ca. I have always wanted to walk through a tall field but until a few days ago the closest I got was just looking at what was available on the side of the road.

My oldest daughter started playing the flute in her school band last year and already has moved up to 3rd year band. I have never taken a photo of her playing except at the school concerts so I wanted to do something special just for her and planned a special session where she can show me her stuff while taking in the beautiful surroundings.

This by far is my favorite photo from our session.

Daisies are everywhere

I am so behind in my posts lately. With all the rain we have been having I have not gotten out much. We did get a little break with 3 days of sun. I love sonoma county and all the beauty it has to offer. There is no other place i have been where I can find a field of daisies within walking distance from my house. The first day with out rain I couldn’t wait to take a trip down to my favorite field of daisies. It was absolutly beautiful. The ground was still a little soggy but what child doesn’t love mud right.

I love her big eyes.

I wonder what conversation a 2 yr old can have with a flower must sound like.

Is your child America’s Cutest Kid?

Is your child America’s Cutest Kid?

Becka Lynn Photography is participating in the National Charity Model Search to select “America’s Cutest Kid” and to raise funds for charity. As a participating photographer for the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation this charity is very close to my heart.

We’re looking for cute children ages 18 months to 14 years old to model for a portrait to be entered into the contest.

Models Search Special:
$35 entrance fee, which includes a 45 minute model session, one image submitted to the national gallery and a 5×7 styrene mounted print of the submitted image.

Finalists will be determined by online votes. Anyone may vote. Each vote is $1, and all proceeds from votes benefit the non-profit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. (NILMDTS.org) Grand prize national winner will be determined from the 50 city finalists. Winners selected by photography and modeling industry experts.

If your child is selected the national winner, you’ll receive many prizes, including a $5,000 US Savings Bond and a Canon PowerShot G10 digital camera.

Baby Cole ~ 7 1/2 wks old

Meet my little buddy Cole. He is just 7 1/2 weeks old and is too cute. I always wanted a boy but never got one so now I just have to settle with playing with him. He has the coolest parents ever and we had a fun yet tiring afternoon yesterday. Here are a couple of my favorite photos from our session.

There is nothing like the warmth and love a mom can give to her child. I think this photo is the perfect example

Now this doesn’t mean daddy does have a special bond with his son. I think this shows how close of a bond these two have.

ABOUT
Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. We are a charitable organization that serves two main purposes – celebrating life and supporting the cause.

Think Pink Session
Through our photographer network, we are helping breast cancer survivors and their supporters to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions.

Any individual that has been diagnosed with breast cancer or completed treatment within the past 12 months qualifies for a Think Pink Session. Sessions are available to document the fight before or during treatment or to celebrate the victory when treatment is completed.

Clients will receive a complimentary session, (20) small prints, and a discount off additional print orders.

Supporting the Cause
The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation
All funds generated through donations and various fundraising efforts are paid directly to The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. As a 3-time breast cancer survivor, Danielle Beverly and her husband Eric joined together to form a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and resources for families who have been touched by breast cancer.

The Foundation focuses on providing financial support for the chemotherapy and mammography needs of uninsured or underinsured individuals; establishing social and psychological support programs for individuals facing breast cancer, their caregivers and children; and fostering opportunities for individuals to educate themselves and others about the life and death importance of early detection.

For every Think Pink Session, BLP will donate $10 to the Eric R Beverly Family Foundation as well as 10% of all sales made from that session.
