As promised here are a few more photos from a session I had a week ago. I know mom has been anxiously waiting to see more photos of her handsome little guy.

It has been a super long week. All 3 of my girls have come down with the sickies which unfortunately means I am super behind on editing sessions and filling orders. I am really sorry about that
As much as I love my job as a photographer my role as a mom has to come first at times like these.
Yesterday was my turn for our Day in the Life (DITL) on my moms group (Sonoma County Mom) so I spent the entire day taking pics of my girls. Despite all the tears and fussiness I managed to get a few smiles that I wanted to share.

It seems my girls are on the mend so business will be back to normal soon. There is just two weeks until Valetine’s Day and I can’t wait.
Here is one quick preview of a favorite shot from a session this weekend. More to come soon.

My youngest will be turning 2 this year on Valentine’s Day. I am always surprised how ime goes by so quickly. The warm weather is still hanging around a bit longer so there is no way I could let it pass by without taking my youngest out for her 2nd birthday photo session.
She fell in love with this awesome asian paper umbrellas I have but is much to small to carry one herself so she happily sat on the dock hanging onto the handle like a big girl. I found this awesome dress at the place I would have least expected it and it worked perfectly for the first set of pics.
You wouldn’t know it but the water was pretty green but luckily the reflection of the sky gave it a beautiful blue color

Being that her birthday is on Valentine’s Day it is only fitting that she should have a Valentine’s Day birthday dress covered in hearts

And these are by far my absolute favorites.

Funny thing is now that I look at these I realize this child of mine never looks at me. I guess she is just sick of her mom having the camera in her face all-the-time but its hard to resists that little face.
I can remember when I first heard the term “blog” and thinking to myself, “what the heck is that?” and when I got the answer to that question I said to myself, “I will never blog” haha I was so wrong. Honestly I never thought much about it until I started my own design business at Becka Lynn Design and used my blog as an outlet to keep past, current and potiential clients up to date with projects I was working on.
Last year I took the blind leap when started Becka Lynn Photography and I have to say that I truely feel I have tapped into my heart and soul and found something I am really pationate about. With that came a new blog, something I have found myself enjoying myself writting even though I do have my moments I am at a total loss for words.
Yesterday a very sweet client told me she checks out my blog nearly everyday and actually enjoys reading it. What mroe can I say than “wow, thanks so much”. This has given me new motivation to keep it up. I know at least one person is reading who isn’t friend or family and I feel extremely fortunate.
2009 is off to a great start and I have had a chance to have a few sessions as I meet new and wonderful people as well as hang out with some close friends as I finally get a chance to explore a few ideas while taking advantage of this crazy spring like weather in the middle of winter.
Last week I booked two more weddings for this summer which I am really excited about. I don’t and have not advertised that I photograph weddings and luckily I have had a few wonderful brides who are willing to have trust in me to photograph their special day as I build my portfolio. That is a huge honor.
I am working on new packages for this coming year along with new specials so stay tuned. I can’t wait to share all the new and wonderful things I have planned this year.
I know I am a bit behind in my blogging so I promise to update today. Till then I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
We have been having record highs these past few days. Over the weekend temperatures reached over 80 degrees. Its supposed to be winter but it feels just like summer.
Its been awhile since I posted anything so I decided to share a few of my girls taken this weekend as we strolled around town in the unusual heat wave.

Valentine’s Day is my baby’s birthday and my anniversary so what better way to celebrate than to share the love.
All regular sessions booked in Jan will receive a set of 24 complimentary photo valentine’s (wallet sized $60 value) with your favorite photo from your session. Yup you read that right, that is 24 FREE wallet sized valentine’s with every paid regular session booked in Jan.
Want a special valentine to give to dad or the grandparent’s but don’t want to spend on a full session? No problem. Book a mini session for just $35 and get 2 custom greeting cards (one for you to keep and one for that special valentine) and also receive a 5×7 print of your favorite session photo suitable for framing.
One more special….like last year again I am offering custom laser etched glass frames. You pick the frame to best match your decor. Let me know the size of the glass and the size of the photo and I will work with you to create a design to be professionally laser etched custom made just for you.
I shot my second wedding the sat right after christmas. Believe it or not but Kate contacted and hired me for her wedding just 2 weeks before the big day. Needless to say I was excited and everyone were all so awesome to work with. This is going to be a longer post that usual so enjoy
Before the wedding:
Doesn’t Kate look so calm and relaxed?

I love all the detail in her hair.

The Shoes!!!

The Wedding:

Poor thing, Kate fell as she was coming down the step before walking down the isle. At least she was giggling the whole way.

The Reception:

I found these little guys sitting on the party favor table. They are so cute!

Congratulations again AJ & Kate!!! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.

I can’t believe my baby girl will be 2 on Valentine’s Day. Where does the time go? Today I got her all dressed up and took a few pics of her in her new pettiskirt and a jacket that was her big sister’s once upon a time

My girl giving me attitude

I was laying on the cold damp ground and she thought it was so funny and kept on trying to go get mama

Silly girl saw a plane and got so excited.

When it was time to go in Shelsea plopped herself down on the sidewalk and decided leafs were the coolest thing on the planet.

Sometimes I think I have the coolest friends. I think my friend Tammy deserves a frequent shoppers card because she keeps coming back again and again. I love it.
This weekend she is celebrating her 5th wedding anniversary and asked me to take some anniversary photos of her with her hubby. They have not had professional photos taken together that they liked since their wedding so I am honored that she asked me to take some for her.
We went to a totally new location that Tammy picked which I am sure will be a favorite. I love all the architectural details and colors.
It didn’t take long before we were totally goofing around.

Can you see them? They are there.

It was so cute watching these two try and copy the pose in the statue. I wish I had my video camera.

My favorite.

Thanks so much for a great time. You both totally made my day. Congratulations on your 5th anniversary!
