Archive for August, 2008

Back on June 28 Don and Twila celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They are the sweetest couple and you can surely see the love they have for one another.

I’m updating my website tonight and added a couples gallery. Since I haven’t had a chance to share photos from this session I thought today is as good a day as any :)

Here are a couple of my personal favs of Don and Twila. Aren’t they adorable together?

Beautiful momma of four

August 29, 2008

This Monday I had a session with my friend Tammy and her 4 kiddos. We took a trip out to the family property which was just beautiful. Here are a couple shots I took that morning. I think she looks amazing for having 4 kids.

No I haven’t forgotten the kids. I will post those later :)

Another fav from last week

August 24, 2008

I should be working but I need a break so I thought I would post another photo from last week. After our little apple picking playdate last week I got a chance to play with this little lady. She was having a grand time climbing up and down on a 2×6 board that was leaning on a foot high side rail and formed a ramp. I just love her pretty blue eyes.

This is mom’s favorite photo

At one point she fell and there she laid on her back for several minutes just happy as can be holding onto her toy. So innocent and cute.

A visit from Alaska

August 24, 2008

This week I got a chance to visit with a friend who recently moved all the way to Alaska. While in town we got together for a couple sessions which are going to become a special xmas gift for her hubby who is in the Coast Guard :) We had so much fun and I am sad to see her leave.

Yesterday we took a trip to Rail Road Square to one of my favorite little spots. I think this is my favorite because it shows her cute new hair cut and a beautiful smile :D

Idylwild Farms

August 20, 2008

Last Sunday my friends daughter was in her second horse show at Idylwild Farms. Being a city girl I have never been to one of these things so it was so much fun being asked to come and photograph such as awesome event. I had a great time and Alexis did so great.

She is so serious as she focused while riding but…

Happily smiles with excitement when its over. She competed against adults and won the 2nd place :D Now how cool is that?

You can see the anticipation in her face as she waits for her turn on a new horse.

This was her last jump and she finished like a champ.

I think Fall is coming early in Sonoma County. There was overcast skies and a heavy mist all morning.

Tapping to his own beat

August 13, 2008

Sometimes I just have to stop what I am doing for a minute and take a look at what is going on around me. Being a mom of 3 keeps me on my toes and I find myself going non stop for days. This afternoon the girls and I were invited to go apple picking at a friends house so we decided to make it a family trip with daddy too. As the girls and I loaded up in the van my husband sat at his drums and went to town. I love the expression and body language in this photo.

Visiting Marin Headlands

August 10, 2008

Today I spent the afternoon laughing and giggling with these 3 beautiful sisters. They were a hoot and a half. For their session we took a trip out to the Marin Headlands and visited one of my favorite places: Battery Mandle.

I still have a bunch of photos to go through from our day out today but I wanted to share one of my favorites.

Tonight I should be editing photos but instead I am researching car seats and decided to start to go through our vacation photos. I still have yet to closely look at them and we have been home nearly two weeks. I found this one of my youngest and thought to myself, “Life is so easy when you are little”

Now if only she would go to bed. I don’t think she realizes its after 1am and momma is tired LOL

Maddie’s Eyes

August 7, 2008

Just days before leaving on vacation I had a session with this precious little girl. This photo is just too cute not to share.

This Sunday August 10th there will be a silent auction to help a local Rohnert Park family in need. Please take a moment to check out their site with their story and auction information.

We have donated 3 items for this auction totaling $475 in value. I hope that you are able to help this family in need.
