Rocker Baby Shelsea

July 30, 2008

Yay I’m home :) Vacation is never long enough but its always great to be home. I have so many photos to edit from my trip to Los Angeles so I will post some as I get them done. All together I had 2 mini sessions and 2 full sessions plus all the family photos so I expect to be pretty busy the next couple of weeks.

So to start the fun I am posting a photo of Shelsea. My friend Seasyn made this little dress and managed to get it to me the night before we left town. I absolutely love it!!! As you can see Shelsea loves it too and just looks too cute IMHO.

Now that I think about it, you can’t really tell but those are skulls and crossbones on the dress. Its definitely not something you can buy in the store so its nice having a friend who can make these cute little creations.

Just checking in

I am half way done with our trip in SoCal and so far its been an eventful one. I can’t wait to get home and start editing photos from this trip. I have one more session today and beach day planned for tomorrow.

Life is good :)

Sophia Joy ~ 9 Days Old

July 17, 2008

Meet little Sophia. She was born on the exact same day as my second daughter. That is what I call a great birthday :) This is my first newborn session completely outside but luckily her mom and grandmother were adventurous. I will post a few more later but here is a little preview.

Wild Flowers

July 14, 2008

Here are a couple more from yesterday. These are some wild flowers in the court yard at the Petaluma Outlets. Who would have thought a place to go shopping would be a nice place to take a few photos of this little one.

Young Love

July 13, 2008

I could not have planned this one even if I tried. These two have a thing for each other but it has been a challenge getting a photo of them together. I wonder what they will think when these two are teenagers looking back at the innocent kisses of babyhood.

Still a few spots left

One more week and counting until I am in Southern California. I can’t wait and am getting really excited about our trip. I still have a couple dates open for sessions so contact me ASAP. Time is running out. I am accepting sessions for babies, children, families, couples and maternity.

All sessions booked in Southern California will receive 32% off their entire order in celebration of my 32nd birthday.

Last night as I was editing a recent session I decided to try something new. As i develop my style I find i like some styles over others depending on the photo and the look I want to achieve. Here are a few new photos that i just fell in love with.

Not the style I typically use but still gorgeous IMHO.

A little surprise…

After a photoshoot a few weeks ago I snapped this candid of my friend’s husband. He was standing on the porch watching his daughter play in the front yard with my girls. I love this photo and it is so him.

Today has turned out to be a wonderful day with family. All of my husbands family and mine are in SoCal so we had a grand o’ time with our 3 girls at home. Twilight Zone marathon anyone?

Yesterday before the fireworks show I took my girls out with a friend of ours to take some photos. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with them other then have all the kids wear red white and blue. Gotta love the Children’s Place for cute matching outfits :)

These are my favorites of the two youngest.

And just for fun a few banners

Red White and Bloom

July 4, 2008

This year our local 4th of July fireworks show was on July 3rd. We live just a few blocks from the big show here in Santa Rosa so we walked over to local elementary school to watch the fireworks show going off at the fairgrounds which is just a couple blocks away. I have never photographed fireworks before but you gotta love the digital age :) It didn’t take me long to get the settings right to capture a few of shots of the show.

This by far is my favorite shot though since its Red White and Blue.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday and 3 day weekend with family.
