Every new life is a blessing and how awesome is it to be expecting 3 little ones. On a chilly afternoon while there was a slight break in the rain I had a chance to meet with wonderful couple for an urban style maternity session in Railroad Square in Santa Rosa. Luckily the rain decided to stay away just long enough for us to have our session but the wind made it quite chilly.

Thanks for the wonderful time and congratulations again on your 3 tiny miracles.

Who gave my girls permission to grow up? It sure as heck wasn’t me. A few days ago I took my girls out for a couple mini sessions so I could make their Valentine’s Day cards for school and moms group. I don’t take photos of my girls quite enough so it was a lot of fun. I did have fun bribing my little ones with those large heart candies so they wouldn’t run away hehe

Just a tiny little peanut and my first session with a preemie. This little guy was the sweetest ever and his parents were such a pleasure to work with. I love all the tiny little details captured during this session ♥

Aw I have been looking forward to posting this recent maternity session but due to the craziness around here the blog post has been a bit delayed. We got together just before the holidays for a special in home session. Today as this little one is officially due so I anxiously await word that she has arrived. I love my job!!!

This shot by far is my favorite. Big sister is so excited about baby coming and it didn’t take much convincing to get her to give baby loves.

I remember when I finished this session I thought to myself, “I wonder if I got anything wow worthy” I am my own worst critic which sometimes means I have been know to leave a session wondering if I captured what I set out to do. I will be honest and say that I was pleasantly surprised when I finally got a chance to look through the session photos and found myself in love with so many.

2010 is already off to a wonderful beginning. Just 5 days into the new year a precious little boy was welcomed into this world. Being the 3rd child, his parents wanted to wait till his birth to find out if they were welcoming another boy or another girl. I am  am extremely honored to be able to share his special birthday, which happens to be the same as my dad, with his family and friends.

Tonight as I was going through a recent maternity session I came across this photo taken in-between mom’s wardrobe changes and just had to share. In just a few short weeks this beautiful little girl will be a big sister. I love her pink tutu and matching headband.

Finally got a chance to have a senior portrait session over at Railroad Square in Santa Rosa. I love the urban funkiness of that area with all the brick and stone work of the old buildings. So much character and I’m always finding neat little areas every time I go down there. I had a wonderful afternoon with Shona and her mom as we hopped around RRSq. These cloudy/rainy days can be somewhat unpredictable this time of year but we got lucky despite being a tab bit cold.

Who ever said a snowman can’t move? LOL This little guy was fast and oh so adorable. His mom had warned me before his session to be prepared for one quick moving toddler. I met up with this little guy and his parents just before sunset and wow the light was amazing. There is a location I have been wanting to use for a session which turned out to be so perfect for him. I love his little sweater vest too. So so cute, just like him.

There is something about the first rain that just brings Sonoma County to life. I love the smells and watching the yellow/brown hills change colors and show their first signs of green. The only down side is that it makes for planning outdoor sessions a little unpredictable. I had to reschedule a couple times with the K family because of the rain but in the end we managed to get together just the day after some rain fall. Their property in Graton was absolutely gorgeous, full of beautiful colors and textures. Definitely a fun session with a wonderful family and two cute little ones :)

My absolute favorite time of year is the Fall. I love watching the vineyards change colors from green to lovely shades of yellow and burgundy. Sadly the change happens so quickly that waiting just a couple weeks to even a couple days you can miss all the beautiful colors.

A few weeks ago I got to meet up with the S family right when the fall colors were at their finest in beautiful Sonoma County. Momma is due with their 3rd child in just a few short days (a week to be exact) though I know she is secretly hoping he/she arrives sooner then that.
